    Where is it?

Pilchards Cottage is perfectly placed in the heart of Mousehole in west Cornwall, with just a 1-minute walk down a cobbled alley wall until you meet the sea. You'll find plenty of art galleries, cafes, boutique shops and restaurants on your doorstep, all within a 2-minute walk of this former fisherman's cottage.

Mousehole is a picturesque fishing village in west Cornwall, with a pretty harbour, popular for retaining its original character, charm and beauty. It's cobbled narrow streets and yellow lichened fishermen's houses huddle together, making this a stunning location to visit.

Perch on the harbour wall with a picnic, spend the day on the beach as the tide goes out, or watch the fishermen's boats bobbing on the horizon. Guests staying in Mousehole will find an abundance of things to see and do during their stay.

Guest Reviews

"The cottage had great character, space, comfortable beds, and came well equipped. Close to the harbour and 3 great restaurants.
We visited Newlyn, Penzance, and St Ives. We are so glad we stayed in Mousehole vs these others, since for us - Canadians - it was a much more intimate experience, and seemed more "old worldly" than the others"

"Great location so near to the harbour, lots of space, clean and tidy, useful guide, really amazing place to stay. We wish the real log burner was upstairs in the lounge as that's where we spent most of our time, but other than that it was a lovely home."

"Very lovely property. Well located. Beautifully furnished and well equipped."

"Pilchard Cottage was a perfect size for four of us and our dog to comfortably stay for the week. The outside drying area, pretty garden and BBQ were a real bonus and the cottage was clean and well equipped. I used Food for my Holiday and it was such a treat to arrive to find the fridge, freezer and cupboards full ready for the week ahead and some complimentary tea and scones provided by the owner/beach retreats. Regular buses into Penzance proved to be handy for my teenagers, the bus stop is almost on the doorstep. Our second time holidaying with Beach Retreats and it certainly won't be our last, great service and great accommodation every time. "
