BEACH LIFE

Constantine Bay

Constantine Bay is a wide, sandy stretch of beach, with gentle sloping rocks leading up to the coast path. This beach is loved by families due to its fun waves and lifeguard patrols, and its endless sandy space makes it a great place to play with kids and dogs alike.

Harlyn Bay

A little further along the coast you’ll find Harlyn Bay, a surfer’s dream with a laid-back atmosphere. Grab a coffee or wood fired pizza from the Beach Box overlooking the water, or find a sheltered spot on the sand for some sunbathing.

Trevone beach

Walk the coast path from Harlyn to Trevone past beautiful blue vistas and you’ll stumble across Trevone, a quieter bay with a natural sea pool that little ones will love.

Beach activities

Book a 1 on 1 or group surf lesson with Constantine Bay Surf School and learn to master the more challenging swells of the north coast.

Lifeguards

Constantine Bay, Harlyn Bay and Trevone beach are lifeguarded daily throughout the summer months and school holidays, check the RNLI website for more information.

Dogs

Dogs are welcome on Constantine Bay and Harlyn Bay all year round, there is a seasonal dog ban on Trevone Bay in summer.

WHERE TO EAT AND DRINK?

By the beaches you’ll find several coastal cafes serving the likes of coffee, pasties, sandwiches and ice creams, such as Constantine Beach Café and Treyarnon Coastal Café.

For fine dining, head to The Pig in Harlyn Bay, where you can sip wine at their in house restaurant or tuck into catch of the day and chargrilled meats alfresco at The Lobster Shed.

For those serious about their grub, the foodie town of Padstow is only a short drive, or slightly longer coastal trek away. Here you’ll find the restaurants of iconic chefs, such as Rick Stein and Paul Ainsworth.

Retail

Constantine Bay has a small beach shop selling all you need for a day on the sand, such as buckets, spades, wetsuits and more. Head into Padstow for a wider range of shops, such as coastal fashion brands, boutiques, local art galleries and more.

Coastal walks

This stretch of coast, part of the famous ‘Seven Bays’ of Cornwall, is renowned for its coastal walks. You can walk the whole way from Constantine to Harlyn, Trevone, or Padstow, or head the opposite direction and check out Porthcothan, Bedruthan Steps and Mawgan Porth.
