Just a few steps from Skyfall and your feet are instantly touching the soft sand of Gyllyngvase Beach. Located in the heart of Falmouth, Gylly beach is renowned for its gently curving shoreline and glassy clear water. The calm swell of the beach makes it the perfect spot for families to paddle and soak up the sunshine, and watersports such as stand-up paddle boarding and kayaking can also be enjoyed. This equipment can be hired on Gyllyngvase beach as well as on nearby Swanpool and Maenporth beach. Yachts can also be hired (skippered or bareboat) through Freewinds or Bowmans.
Upon a short stroll into Falmouth town, you will find streets lined with quirky independent shops and eateries serving fresh local food. The surrounding coastline can be explored on foot and leads to further unspoiled coves and turquoise sea. The luscious gardens and castle views at Pendennis Point are a short walk away, or hop on the ferry from Falmouth Harbour, which crosses the water to the beautifully quaint Roseland Peninsula.
