The Details

  • Location

    Where is it?

Just off the coastal road, between Padstow and Newquay, Menehay is a stylish three-bedroom, upside-down living barn conversion, with rural and sea views. Guests will find themselves on the soft sand of Mawgan Porth beach in just a seven minute walk down a quiet path.

Mawgan Porth is a beach that gets it just right- an expanse of white sand, a swirling ocean, surf school, with lifeguards in high season, and a handful of tasty eateries and shops.

If you fancy stretching your legs, take the steady amble up the stunning South West coast path towards the National Trust's Carnewas at Bedruthan Steps, soaking up spectacular panoramas. Within 30 minutes, you could be tucking into the most delicious cream tea, energising you to venture further to the “seven bays”, including the spectacular Trevose Head Heritage Coast. A dramatic stroll south takes you to Watergate bay, passing a number of iron age hill forts. With a bus stop convenient to Menehay, there is always the option to walk one way and enjoy the scenic bus journey back.

If a spa is more your thing, you have a choice within walking distance at Bedruthan Hotel or Scarlet Hotel.
