Driftwood is a four bedroomed family home which gazes across the Camel Estuary between Padstow and Rock.
Step from the sea-view terrace of your retreat into the vibrant, foodie fishing village of Padstow. Here, harbourside days and fine-dining nights await, with plenty of time for meandering independent shops and cafes, crabbing off the harbour walls or sampling some Cornish ice cream. It's easy to while away the hours in this picture book village, home to the cooking mastery of Rick Stein, but if you do crave sandy feet and sea air, you've got beaches within arms reach. Take the short walk to the closest beach, catch the ferry or water taxi across to Rock and its sandy, surfer-approved shores, or hop in the car on a five minute drive to Trevone, first of the 'Seven Bays'.
Padstow showcases the very best of Cornwall, inviting long, blustery strolls, watersports sessions, boat trips and cosy pub evenings. Its prime position on the north Cornish coast means you're near plenty of other local gems, too, with Port Isaac and Boscastle in one direction, and Harlyn Bay in the other. -
