Location
North Rocks is an incredible granite stone characterful property with an outdoor swimming pool, situated on the cliffs overlooking Sennen. Seven guests can spread out across sprawling gardens and exquisitely designed living spaces, with panoramic views of Sennen Cove and village and across the Atlantic Ocean.
This retreat sits pretty at the top of an incredible, multi-layered outdoor space which runs all the way from the front gate right down to the edge of the cliff. Here, you can watch the ever-changing ocean views, from the gorgeously soft morning light, the tropical blues and white sand under the mid-day sun, to the showstopper sunsets which melt into the horizon directly ahead of you, lighting the entire ocean shades of gold and pink.
From North Rocks you’ll have direct, instant access to the coast path via a private gate, with breathtaking panoramic views, towards Sennen Cove which is just 200 metres away.Where is it?
A paradise for families, surfers, coastal walkers and everyone in between, Sennen Cove is home to a gorgeous village and a long stretch of sand which has been voted as one of Britain's best blue flag beaches by Conde Nast Traveller.
Classically Cornish in landscape, with exceptionally tropical blue water and perfect white sands, Sennen Cove and its surrounding coastline feel like they could be somewhere on the Mediterranean coast.
The beautifully traditional village sees a row of seafront pubs, fish and chip shops and galleries lining the shorefront. Spot dolphins whilst enjoying a pint sat outside the Old Success Inn. Browse local gems at the iconic Roundhouse and Capstan art gallery. Find a secluded spot on the sheltered harbour cove or endless beach for an afternoon of sunbathing. Sennen is all about a slower pace of life, taking in the coastal wonder that lies around every corner.
If you do fancy a day of activity, the West Cornwall coastline is unmatched for scenic coastal strolls. Set off south from Sennen Cove towards Land’s End, or head north via Cot Valley to the divine Cape Cornwall and beyond. If you’re into watersports, tackle the fun, consistent waves with surf lessons from Sennen Surfing Centre and Smart Surf School, suitable for anyone from complete beginners to the more sea-savvy.
Nearby, discover the iconic Minack Theatre and St Michael's Mount. St Ives is a short drive away, with the famous Tate Gallery and Barbara Hepworth Museum and Sculpture Garden, great shopping and lively cafe and restaurant culture. Even closer is Mousehole, a pretty fishing village. -

- Beautiful traditional design meets a coastal-inspired sense of lux throughout this unique property, which features stone walls and antique pieces. The end result is a sense of grandeur, which blends with the more laid-back ocean feel of the outside spaces to a perfect harmony.
- The grand living room features three two seater sofas, two armchairs and a large window seat which perfectly frames the ocean views outside. Here, you’ll also find a Smart TV and an open fire for cosy evenings in.
- This room also connects to a dining/sun room with a glass and marble table, chairs and window seating, the perfect spot for breakfast or an afternoon nibble whilst gazing out to sea.
- Walk through to the kitchen/dining room, where you’ll find a large wooden table with eight chairs. Here, find all your cooking needs in the fully equipped kitchen with an electric oven, induction hob, fridge, Magimix Nespresso coffee machine, dishwasher, and additional full size fridge/freezer in the utility.
- The utility room also features a washing machine and tumble dryer.
- You’ll also find a secret snug room featuring a wood burning stove, Smart TV and comfy sofas. This offers a quieter spot away from the main space of the house, perfect for a moment alone with a book or for the kids to have a movie night.
Sleeping:
- Four luxurious bedrooms, sleeping seven with sea views from almost every room.
- Master bedroom on the second floor, with a superking size bed, built in wardrobe, dresser, chest of drawers, two bedside tables, 32 inch TV and views of the sea from the slanted windows.
- Master ensuite with single shower, WC and basin.
- Second bedroom on the first floor with a king size bed, built in wardrobe, dresser, two bedside tables and beautiful sea views from two windows, meaning you can wake up to the ocean.
- Third bedroom with king size bed, built in wardrobe, two bedside tables and gorgeous views over the pool and of the ocean.
- Fourth bedroom with a small four foot double bed, only suitable for sleeping one, with freestanding wardrobe, bedside table and baby crib.
- Family bathroom on the first floor with bath and shower overhead, heated towel rail, WC and basin.
- Second bathroom on the ground floor with walk in shower, heated towel rail, WC and basin. Beach towels supplied outside of this bathroom.
Outside:
- Choose from a range of spots for relaxing and soaking up the sun, whether its poolside, cliffs-edge or nestled in a secret nook amongst the flowers. The intricately planted garden harbours lots of secluded corners for reading, sunbathing, sipping your morning coffee or enjoying a glass of wine as the sun sets.
- Lounge around the gorgeous heated swimming pool, surrounded by sun loungers, a day bed, round table for six with a parasol, and BBQ. Sea views from the pool and the space make you feel as though you are in a Mediterranean villa. Please note the swimming pool is only useable from May to the end of September.
- The main section of the garden can be accessed from the front door or door by the downstairs bathroom and ‘spa changing room’ area where you’ll find your towels and robes. Here you’ll find a paved patio with benches, a space to soak up the views.
- To the right of the pool, you’ll find an undercover dining space with an additional dining table with six chairs and space to prep and serve up your BBQ – whether its fresh fish purchased from the fisherman down at the cove, grilled veg or burgers.
- Further down again, past the row of shrubbery which shelters the pool, you’ll find the most breathtaking views on the lower level of the garden, where North Rocks meets the coastal path. Jaw-dropping panoramas take your eye from the furthest corners of Sennen all the way along past perfect waves and glittering ocean expanse, towards the iconic Gwynver beach rock formations and the lighthouse out to sea to the right.
- Here, you’ll have an almost birds-eye view of the surfers, be able to watch the tides as they roll in and out, and feel like nothing separates you from the edge of the ocean. A view like this truly has to be seen to be believed, and you could while away hours just gazing out over it.
- At night, lie back and look up at the night sky which fills with stars and constellations on a bed of rich velvety black due to the lack of light pollution in the area.
- At the top of garden (rear of the house), you'll find a pretty lawned area, perfectly planted with flowers, a greenhouse and a bistro table.
- The garden path weaves round into a tucked-away corner with a hidden table and chairs with a parasol for a more secluded moment.
- Enjoy the idyllic sounds of gentle windchimes from the gate leading to the garden, birdsong, and the crashing waves below.
