The Details

  • Location

    Where is it?

Set in woodlands just above Trevaunance Cove in St Agnes, Leeward House delivers contemporary living on the coast. It's a serene location, surrounded by tranquil woodland, away from the tourists, but close to inspiring coastal walks and St. Agnes village.

Leeward House is just a few minutes' walk from the sandy beach of Trevaunance Cove which is popular with surfers and families alike. Enjoy a bite to eat at the beach cafe Schooners, with views over the Atlantic, or walk up the road to sit by a roaring fire at the award-winning Cornish pub Driftwood Spars which serves local ales. A ten-minute walk takes you into the heart of St Agnes, which has an excellent bakery, butchers, greengrocers, artisan shops, cafes, pubs and restaurants.

We invited Susie Peck, The Telegraph's Family Travel and Beach Editor to stay at Leeward House. Read what she got up to during her stay.

Guest Reviews

"We loved the house and will definitely come back. The kitchen was the best equipped we have ever stayed at and it was lovely to have such a wide range of baking/cooking equipment. The children loved their bedrooms, but especially the outdoor shower and hot tub after a day on the lovely beach. A short 5 minute walk down and steep walk back up to the house from the beach was fine for us. The last evening was spent watching the kids surfing the waves at sunset with a beer from Schooner's...perfect!
