Where is it?
Serenity is a beautifully designed three bedroom duplex apartment, just five minutes from Croyde beach with a luxury surf-shack vibe.
A scenic coastal road winds around the Devon cliffs towards Croyde, a pretty shoreside destination with a sandy beach and pumping surf. Here, beachgoers nap beneath parasols, families build sandcastles and watersports enthusiasts float amongst the waves.
The vibrant surf scene in Croyde is second to none, with clean, consistent waves and a laid-back atmosphere that's hard to resist. Croyde is part of the 18 miles of coastline which has been formally recognised as a world surfing reserve, joining 11 other stretches of the coast around the world including Malibu, Noosa and Hawaii. It’s the first in the UK and only the second one in Europe, the other being Portugal. Whether rain or shine, you’ll see avid surfers riding the swell and grabbing a post-surf coffee at one of the beachfront hangouts.
If watersports are your thing, you can try your hand at Surfing Croyde surf school. Or, if you prefer to stay on dry land, tuck into a seafront lunch, hike the South West Coast Path, or enjoy the views from Baggy Point, a National Trust site with a rugged headland, tea room and walled allotment garden.
Head further afield to Exmoor, just 30 minutes by car. This nature-lovers haven is a Dark Sky Reserve, meaning you can gaze up at starry skies and shooting stars. The area is also great for nature trails and red stag safaris.
